Secret Language is a six piece rock jam band from Columbia,
MD formed in the summer of 2010 by drummer Sven Eric Radhe, guitarist Jamie
Frank, and the dueling basses of Matt Williams and Brian Greuter. What
initially began as a series of impromptu jam sessions quickly grew into much
more as each member’s individual styles and influences began to coalesce into what
would become a unique blend of jam band improvisation, the energy of punk, and a bit of dark side prog.
Secret Language’s
live performances feature a constant interplay between moody improvisational
excursions and playful pop melodies. At any given show you're just as likely to
hear an a cappella version of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" as you are to
hear a ten minute jam on one of their almost twenty originals or two dozen
cover songs. With a vast repertoire of
material Secret Language ensures that each performance is its own unique
entity.
With the additions in early 2012 of saxophonist Elie Bergsman
and vocalist Warren Hull, Secret Language has developed a sound that is
distinctly their own. They're out to prove they're a force worth noticing in
the Baltimore music scene, and with an ever changing live set and a perfect
combination of humor and serious musicianship they may accomplish just that.
